September 2013. Almost 250,000 Dominicans of Haitian descent are now stateless due to a ruling of the country’s constitutional court. Identified as scapegoats for all the problems affecting the country, they have lost their rights, liberty and identity. Narrated by Haitian poet and playwright Jean-Claude Martineau, this film takes us to the heart of the human drama lived by these migrants who have sacrificed everything to follow their dream of freedom.
