Lucas Estrella was born in 1991 in the Dominican Republic. In 2011 he enrolled in the screenwriting programme at Incines, the Cinematic Institute of Santiago. Red Light (2013), his first short film, won the people’s choice award at the Dominican Republic Global Film Festival.
