Toni Venturi
Toni Venturi is a Brazilian filmmaker known for works of a social and political nature. He is the founding Partner of Olhar Imaginário production company, and has directed and produced nine feature films which won numerous awards at national and international film festivals. His work has been screened at the Berlinale, Kerala Film Festival, IDFA and many others. "In My Skin”, premiered at the 25th It’s All True International Documentary Film Festival (2020) and had its international premiere at the 33rd IDFA: International Documentary Filmfestival Amsterdam.
Val Gomes
Val Gomes wrote, directed, and edited the short documentary “Weaving Stories and Embroidering New Paths” (2005), a project that later prompted exchange between women on the periphery of the city of São Paulo and Paris (2009 and 2011). Val was the head researcher on the documentary series “Restless Scene” (2018), a 26 episode series about blackness, gender, and political theatre, launched on SescTV in July 2020. She also directed the short fiction film, “Adelia’s Voice”, at the International Film Academy.
