‘The Visitation’ is a Trinidadian Science-Fiction Thriller-Horror film, which tells the story of a carefree artist who is not concerned with the world around her. Her male friend calls to warn her of an imminent extraterrestrial threat but she pays him no heed. This short film is a fusion of art, spectacle and extraterrestrial life in a Caribbean context.

Kirk Budhooram has a BSc. in Industrial Engineering and an MFA in Creative Writing from UWI, St. Augustine. He won the PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARD: BEST SHORT FILM at the Trinidad & Tobago Film Festival 2007 for his short movie, Herman’s Tales: Kidnapped and the DAVID HOUGH LITERARY AWARD 2016 for his short story in The Caribbean Writer Vol 30 entitled The Last Day of School. He was short listed in the SX Salon Literary Competition 2018 with another short story. He and his wife, Kavita Ganness host every second Thursday of each month in San Fernando an open mic for writers and film makers called Cool Your Head- Open Mic and Film.
