It looks at the influence of Marcus Garvey on the consciousness of Caribbean citizenry that gave rise to the labour revolts in Trinidad and Guyana; the rise of Tubal Uriah Butler and his contribution to the development of the Labour Movement in Trinidad and Tobago.
